The Motive Driver App is a tool that helps commercial drivers and fleets comply with the FMCSA regulations, including Part 395 and the ELD mandate. It allows drivers to record their Hours of Service (HOS) on their Android phone or tablet, and when used with the Motive Vehicle Gateway device, it helps fleets and individual commercial drivers meet their obligations outlined under the ELD mandate. The app supports current Canadian Federal Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and proactively alerts drivers when they are running out of driving time to avoid HOS violations. It also displays total hours worked for the week and available Hours of Service for any given day and the following day. The app can be switched to Inspection Mode to show ELD logs to an officer during a roadside inspection without compromising the driver’s privacy. The Motive Driver App also offers tracking and telematics features. When dispatched, GPS location data is shared to the Motive Fleet Dashboard to update dispatchers and fleet managers on stops and arrivals. The app also allows drivers to review Motive Dashcam videos and safety events to understand driving performance. Drivers can see their DRIVE risk score, a benchmark against Motive’s entire network of vehicles. The app also allows drivers to confirm and receive assigned dispatches, view important load details, manage tasks for active deliveries, review past dispatches, message their fleet manager or dispatcher directly through the app, and upload important documents like bills of lading or accident photos.
