YouTube Tests AI-Generated Quizzes to Assess Learning Progress

YouTube, one of the most popular mobile apps, is known for its vast content library catering to various interests. Recognizing its role as a learning platform for many users, YouTube is now experimenting with AI-generated quizzes to test viewers' understanding of educational videos.

The platform's "test features and experiments" page was recently updated to provide insights into these AI-driven quizzes. A small percentage of YouTube mobile app users on Android and iOS will encounter these quizzes on their Home feed. The quizzes are designed to evaluate comprehension of subjects covered in recently watched educational videos.

Google has announced that this experiment is being rolled out globally to a select group of iOS and Android users. The quizzes will initially focus on a few English educational videos.

YouTube frequently conducts such experiments to enhance user experience, and while some features may become permanent, others may not make the cut.

In related news, YouTube has been testing a three-strikes ad-blocking policy, exploring a new Lock Screen feature for YouTube Premium subscribers, and developing a cloud gaming service.
